There’s something that’s been hiding in the Disney Pixar films. You’ve probably seen it over and over again without ever realizing it. It’s the combination of letters and numbers: A113.

A113 is actually the classroom number at the California Institute of Arts. Room A113 was used for the first year of graphic design and character animation. This is where many of the Pixar and Disney animators were taught. Putting A113 is their way of showing appreciation to the school. Pretty cool, huh?

Watch the video of John Lasseter explaining it.

The World Wildlife Fund and French artist Paulo Grangeon made 1,600 paper-mache pandas and have been touring them through Rome and Paris and will make a stop in 10 major Asian cities.
Each paper-mache panda represents one of the only 1,600 pandas that are left in the wild. So they may look like a large crowd when they are put into these spaces, but it is misleading when you realize that it represents the entire panda population.

Despite whatever your beliefs are on the beginning of this universe, you can’t deny this is a cute project! It’s like a book for ants…
